Our Story

Takara means “treasure” in Japanese — a name chosen because clothing can hold a woman’s story. Her abaya becomes part of her identity, carrying her elegance, her confidence, and her quiet individuality. Rooted in culture and reimagined through a contemporary lens, Takara pieces are crafted to last with intention: premium fabrics, structured silhouettes, and refined detail. The brand speaks to women who dress with meaning and value artistry without excess.

Founded in 2020 in Dubai by sisters Athari, Mariam, and Jawaher Al Hajri, Takara creates collections that honor the essence of womanhood — its beauty, its strength, and its understated power.

Our Sisterhood

Takara is built by three sisters who grew up collecting stories, fabrics, and ideas. We design from different instincts, but we meet at the same place: a quiet love for craftsmanship and a shared fascination with women who define themselves on their own terms.

Our sisterhood is not just the foundation of the brand—it shapes how we work. It teaches us patience, honesty, and the importance of refining until it feels right. Through this, Takara carries a sense of intimacy and realness that is impossible to replicate; it’s a world held together by dialogue, memory, and trust.

Our Craftsmanship

Each Takara piece moves through the hands of cutters, tailors, and artisans who understand the value of precision. We work with structured wools, velvets, textured tweeds, jacquards, and custom blends—fabrics chosen for their ability to sculpt, hold, and reveal form.

We produce in considered quantities and refine our techniques season after season, favoring quality and longevity over excess. From internal structure and finishing to silhouette and fit, every detail exists for a reason. The result is clothing designed to be collected, worn, and kept—pieces that age with the woman who chooses them.
